Is it for safety or calling for bad omen?

Mock drill is considered to be the best part to stand ourselves in safer, secure and is a preparation to prevent from the inevitable natural disasters. Government spent lot many budget to train expertise from the various departments to get equipped with the aptitude and required technique and to be shared with the faculties.
The key idea behind conducting such kind of activity is walking with the saying, “Prevention is better than cure.” It is to ensure the welfare of human kinds by instilling the skill of copying with fear and preventing from being harmed by getting one selves ready in tackling the dynamic calamities.

On 9th May, 2015 my school did the mock drill, coordinated by the disaster coordinator of the school; we did everything, as if we were hit by the real disaster. After the drill I was thinking to myself and was wondering, is it for safety or calling for bad omen? Being born in the village and raised together with the local people I am forced to be superstitious minded as though I had modern education. I thought; is there no meaning in what our grandparents had told us (Tendral Nye paa) bad omen. It is believed that the bad things or event needs to be forbidden from being demonstrated and pictured.  It’s only been few days after the dill, we had the real disaster.

Considering the experience of what we have experienced today “The quake.” I found the mock drill is not helping us when struck by the real disaster. During the event I have seen and noticed that everyone wants themselves to be first to be in the safer side and didn't use the skill acquired from the drill.
