When do people take refuge in GOD?

When the time of joy showers in one s life , it becomes an utmost thrill to enjoy the beauty of life. we happen to cherished the moment, we feel as if the moment of happiness is going to be forever, but the saddest part of human life is nothing is permanent and the inevitable force of 'CHANGE' drowns  the life into two different ways (Pleasure v/s misery).

when the happiness knocks the door of a person we  simply deny the fact that we are lads and lassies of a eminent creator called  "GOD." But surprisingly when struck with the misery a of a life we remember the greatness of the almighty and we tends to put our heart and soul together to gain the unseen shelter of the mighty.

looking at the scenario of  dual nature of human characters, it strikes me with the Bhutanese saying, "Pang na thoen tsha ya ho ho, Bja dang chap tsha lam khen." which means when we are enjoying the bliss of life in a exotic place we completely forget the presence of god, but on contrary when faced with difficulties the urgency of god is called for a refuge.  when I asked some of my friends about the taking refuge, some of them said that they do take refuge all the time, but the seriousness grew only when apprehension picks up to the peak, such as when they are ;

b. when examination approaches near.
c.in the dark room
d. when relation doesn't go well  and many more.

Hearing to those answers I also asked them why some times only why can't we have the same motion of emotion in taking the refuge? to my answer one of the friends asked me that do I have the same consistence in taking in the refuge. Honestly saying I have asked them those questions because I myself is in skeptical  about it.  the above saying made me think on the truth of being dual nature of human.

We almost forget and ignore the existence of GOD, but the ignorance and the forgetfulness turns in to active and ardent worshiper when faced with apprehension.
